Mr. Mastio-
The City of Braidwood is located on Interstate 55 approximately 60 miles southwest of Chicago. The City is in an area with strong corporate users, recreational opportunities, historic elements (being located on Route 66), and significant growth. This growth includes being an entrance to an area that has the largest master-planned inland port in North America.
The City recently completed a Comprehensive Market Study by Hospitality Marketers International, Inc (HMI) to look at the feasibility of a hotel. We are forwarding the study to key people, such as you, that Lindsey Kaptur, HMI Midwest Regional Director, suggested would be a good fit. The City initiated the study not only to reflect the need for a hotel and that there is a market for such a project but also to highlight their strong interest in working with businesses. In addition to the study the City has been aggressively extending utilities and are willing to offering incentives to support a hotel.
We wanted to send you the study and will then follow-up next week by phone. If you have an interest we will organize a meeting with the Mayor and City Administrator.
We appreciate your consideration.
