Revenue at local hotels will rise more slowly next year than previously predicted, according to a new forecast from Colliers PKF Consulting USA. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) at Chicago-area hotels will rise 6.2% in 2011, down from 8.2% in an earlier forecast and below an estimated 6.8% rise this year, according to the hotel advisory firm. Job growth estimates for next year have fallen since the last forecast, a big reason PKF lowered its outlook. RevPAR has also risen more than expected this year, suggesting slower growth in 2011."
